The perks of working from home are almost endless - low overheads, around the clock availability for your clients and don’t even get us started on the quick commute to the office!
Tori Hume, owner of home-based travel consultancy, Take me Tori, loves that she can have a say in her daily working environment; whether at home or on holidays herself, she’s good to go with just a mobile phone and internet connection.
The low overheads of working from home also help her to pass on savings to her clients, delivering services that rival those of major competitors without charging their premium price tag.
She describes her business as having ‘a private travel agent vibe, with a book online price.’
Tori also sees growing her business in the booming Casey Cardinia Region as a perk, noting ‘…the growth in this area at the moment is phenomenal, perfect for a business like mine to establish itself in a growing community’.
‘I’ve actually grown up in this area, so being familiar with the people and culture gives me an advantage.’
Just 12 months into her journey as an entrepreneur, Tori’s flexible working arrangements and 24/7 availability have helped her to book trips for a slew of first-timers, couples and business professionals.
And she’s set to soon increase convenience for clients even further, with an online booking feature for her website planned, perfect for last minute travellers and busy schedules.
