The rapid growth of Australia's trade partnerships all over the world have substantially increased opportunities for businesses in our region, but often this can be confusing and knowing where to start can be difficult. Fortunately, we've recognised this and want to make it as easy as possible for you and your business, so we've employed an export coordinator with solid exporting operational skills and experience, Kelly Shi, to offer personalised assistance and guidance.
Owing to her years of experience, Kelly can assist your business to grow and expand your market, both nationally and internationally, through personalised business consulting:
In addition, Kelly can help to market your business to potential international partners through the City of Casey's WeChat account and specialsed events, as well as various other specialised opportunities.
Kelly is fluent in Mandarin and English and is also able to offer translating and interpretating assistance to your business, including offering guidance on the nuances of cultural differences in business practices, to ensure positive commercial interactions. China is Victoria’s largest trading partner; it is our largest source of international tourists and students, migration and direct investment.
Does your business have a China strategy? Do you understand the China market? If the answer is no, and you are keen to learn more about potential trade opportunities for your business then you need to explore and witness China yourself to test your businesses’ ambitions.
The City of Casey and the City of Greater Dandenong are seeking expressions of interest from local businesses to participate in a nine-day joint trade mission to Chengdu, Nanjing, Xuzhou, Shanghai and other major cities in China in late October 2018.
The Councils will coordinate various networking and business matching sessions with key businesses and industry leaders in each city. This is your chance to explore business opportunities in China and build the foundations of your China strategy, all while strengthening your connections with like-minded local Melbourne businesses.
Members of the delegation will be responsible for their own travel expenses; it is expected that international and domestic flights will cost between $1,600 and $2,500 and accommodation between $150 and $200 per night.
Expressions of Interest close Friday 5.00 pm on 21 September 2018. Submit an expression of interest.
