Expressions of interest for Regional Tourism Board director roles are now open!

The Casey Cardinia region is one of five growth corridors in metropolitan Melbourne and we are continually adding the most people of any region in Australia. With its population expected to reach more than 650,000 by 2036, making it greater than Hobart, Darwin and Geelong combined, Casey Cardinia represents a new frontier for business growth.

The Tourism, Hospitality and Events sectors offers a significant opportunity for job creation and broader economic development including local workforce participation. In recognition of the industry’s potential, City of Casey and Cardinia Shire Council, guided by a Tourism Advisory Committee (TAC) of industry representatives, have been working together to develop the Casey Cardinia region as a visitor destination.

A key step towards this goal is the creation of a new Regional Tourism Board, consisting of nine directors and supported by both Councils, to ensure the sector's growth and long-term sustainability.

If you are passionate about this local sector and keen to play a key role, consider applying for one of the director roles now open for expressions of interest; whether you are an experienced or aspiring director, we want to hear from you!
